Build It Green, in partnership with the City of Sacramento, created the Small Development Incubator (SDI) to support small-scale residential developers, in the Bay Area and Sacramento, with training and industry connections. Dream BIG, Build Small: A Showcase for Small-Scale Developers and Builders gives participants a focused opportunity to meet suppliers, designers, contractors, financiers, and technical partners. Exhibitors gain direct access to developers who are actively working on small-scale housing projects.
About the Showcase
A three-hour event connecting small-scale developers with the
industry partners they rely on to plan and build successful projects.
The Showcase includes:
Exhibitor Hall:
Suppliers, financiers, architects, contractors, and building-process innovators present their
services and connect directly with SDI developers.
Mini-Sessions:
Short sessions that strengthen community, spark collaboration, and explore how small-scale
development supports healthy neighborhoods and nature. (The Bay Area program will include a
session on electrification and heat pumps.)
Resource Guide:
All exhibitors are featured in a digital guide distributed after the event.
Fun:
Exhibitors and participants will have the chance to enjoy food and beverages together and
celebrate the amazing small-scale development work happening now and in the future.
