Topic: Green Materials Framing: Structural Insulated Panels (SIPS) and Insulated Concrete Forms (ICFS)

Description: 
Most of us have heard of these products before, but haven’t started using them on a daily basis. Gary Radzat of Shell Building Systems and Lee Morton of Morton Construction will talk about the time, cost and environmental benefits of these systems, what architectural styles they work best with, and how they might change site details. Let’s see if we can’t get you excited about trying a new product!

Lee Morton - Contractor, Morton Construction
Lee Morton has been a general contractor since 1968. He has developed properties and built numerous high-end residential/commercial projects in the North Bay area.  He began to explore the use of ICFs (Insulated Concrete Forms) in 1998 for a client who wanted his development to have thick exterior walls. The research lead to training and a distributorship for the original "Blue Maxx" ICF.  Morton Construction now specializes in building with Logix ICFs - leaving the distribution duties to ICFBy Design.

Since the year 2000, they have constructed custom homes, garages, barns, barrel rooms for wineries, retaining walls, and home additions in the area.
