ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

GreenPoint Rated: Advisor & Rater Training & Exams:
Monday October 18 , 8:00am - 5:00pm - training all day
Tuesday October 19, 8:00am – 5:00 pm
Practice exercises and exams to prepare for the Plan Check Exam on Friday.
Wednesday October 20, 8:00am – 5:00pm
Concludes with two open-book written exams. (1) GreenPoint Rated Program, Policies and Procedures. (2) Plan Check exam. You will need to know how to read blueprints to complete it.
Saturday, October 23, 8:30am - 12pm
FIELD EXAM: The Saturday session is devoted to the field verification at a development/construction site *Please be on time. Late arrivals will not be able to take the exam.
PRIOR TO THE TRAINING - PRE-STUDY
Pre-study of the training manuals is highly recommended prior to attending the training. The course is fast paced and covers a lot of material, pre-study will assist you in preparing for the exams. Your pre-study materials will be sent in a separate email before the training. Should you not receive them, please email Training@BuildItGreen.org.
Raters and Advisors also must complete an application in order to be instated. Please bring copies of your credentials to the training where you will receive the applicaiton. Review the eligibility requirements to learn more about Advisor & Rater roles.

Bring to the Training:

Writing instruments, highlighter.

A refillable water bottle or drink container, to limit disposable water bottle use.

Calculator

BUSINESS CARDS, about 100, in order to network with other attendees.

Copies of Licenses and Certifications required for the Rater Application.

For the Plan Check Exam (Friday): we recommend that you bring a magnifying glass to review the half-size plans.

For the Field Exam (Saturday): bring sturdy closed-toe shoes, a hardhat, measuring tape, and waterproof jacket. No other tools are required.
Refreshments:
Beverages will be available throughout the day. Continental breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack will be provided, courtesy of the event host.
