Eligibility Requirements
The GreenPoint Rated: Advisor and Rater Existing Home training is open to GreenPoint Rated: Advisors or Raters (New Home) who are interested in adding green ratings and advising for existing homes to their portfolio of services.
Eligibility for GreenPoint Rated: Existing Home Advisor
To earn GreenPoint Advisor - Existing Home certification, you need to complete the GreenPoint Rated: Advisor or Rater application for Existing Homes and meet each the following requirements:

Be a current Certified GreenPoint Rater in good standing

Provide documentation of at least ONE credential showing building or home performance experience - listed on our GreenPoint Rated Eligibility Page - READ MORE
Eligibility for GreenPoint Rated: Existing Home Rater
In addition to completion of the Certified GreenPoint Rater New Home training, Raters attending the Existing Home training must have prior experience with home performance testing and building science, as well as working knowledge of construction and experience with vintage features.
To earn GreenPoint Rated: Existing Home Rater certification, you need to complete the GreenPoint Rated: Advisor or Rater application for Existing Homes and meet ALL of the following requirements:

Be a current Certified GreenPoint Rater in good standing

Provide documentation of at least ONE credential showing building or home performance experience - listed on our GreenPoint Rated Eligibility Page - READ MORE
Certification for both GreenPoint Rated: Existing Home Rater and Advisor designations are valid for two years, at which time
Recertification is required to keep certification current.
Petition for Participation
For students who do not have one of the prerequisite credentials listed on our GreenPoint Rated Eligibility Page, we of\\\\\\\\\\\fer a petition option. A petition is a written explanation and documentation of how the student has the equivilent of 4 years mastery level experience in new home construction or existing home retrofit and remodel.

Beverages will be available throughout the day. Continental breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack will be provided, courtesy of the event host.
Registration:
Please plan to arrive 15 to 30 minutes early so that we can begin the course promptly
