GreenPoint Rated Year in Review
2010 was a tough year for the construction industry, but the growing importance of green building and labeling practices are reason for hope. Here are a few highlights:

GreenPoint Rated certification increased 35% from 2009

Our GreenPoint Rated Checklist was incorporated into the required measures of the 2010 California Green Building Code (CALGreen)

We debuted the GreenPoint Rated system for multifamily existing buildings with a successful training in November that drew 38 participants from all over the state.

Financing Opportunities
Builders participating in PG&E's California Advanced Homes rebate program for new homes (which requires 15% above T24) can get an extra 10% bonus for a GreenPoint Rated home.

KB Home | GreenPoint Rated Builder of the Year - Single Family

KB Home has completed 196 GreenPoint Rated single family homes and a whopping 1,233 homes in the pipeline.
BRIDGE Housing | GreenPoint Rated Builder of the Year – Multifamily

To date, BRIDGE has completed 193 GreenPoint Rated multifamily units and has 274 GPR units in the works in San Mateo, Alameda, San Francisco and Solano Counties.
Jetton Construction | GreenPoint Rated Builder of the Year

Custom Home Builder
Jetton completed both a new and an existing GreenPoint Rated project in 2010. With 283 points, the new home earned the highest GreenPoint Rated score in 2010.
Energy Inspectors | Commitment to GreenPoint Rated in 2010

In California and Nevada, Energy Inspectors has rated 900 single and multifamily homes and has another 2,909 more units in the works, represented by 15 national and regional builders in 47 different projects.

DeYoung Properties Wins City of Fresno’s Recycling Award
Congratulations to DeYoung Properties who received well-deserved recognition for significantly increasing the recycling rate of their construction waste. So far DeYoung Properties has rated 97 units in its Brentwood Ranch, Brentwood on the Green, and Brentwood Loma Vista subdivisions. Rosie Smith of Residential Energy Efficiency Concepts, a Build It Green member and GreenPoint Rater since 2008, is serving as the Rater for this phased development.
