Course Description:
Before you can become certified as at GreenPoint Rater or Advisor, it is important to understand the policies and procedures that inform the rating system and the role of the Rater and Advisor in the design, construction and retrofitting of energy efficient, green homes.
It is also important to be aware of current green building trends and identify the opportunities for third-party verification in the marketplace.
This 2.5-day course is a prerequisite for all GreenPoint Rated trainings and gets you started on the path to becoming a GreenPoint Rater or Advisor. It introduces you to all GreenPoint Rated systems (New Home, Existing Home, Single Family and Multifamily), and covers basic procedures, program requirements, verifications of select measures, and the differing responsibilities of advisors and raters. You also learn about the GreenPoint Rated Climate Calculator.
