California Multifamily Existing Building Training

In California, approximately one-third of households reside in multifamily buildings. Because many of these buildings are older, the potential for energy savings is enormous. Dozens of entities across the state are implementing residential retrofit programs and need to hire verification agents. With the right training, you can take advantage of this growing market.

This 5 and a half-day course gives you the basic tools and knowledge to become the verification agent for many of the state programs addressing existing multifamily buildings. You will learn how to work with clients to provide an audit and verify energy, water, and resource conservation, indoor air quality, and basic health and safety measures.

This course prepares you to take exams for the following certifications:

  • GreenPoint Rater or Advisor
  • BPI Multifamily Building Analyst

Topics covered in this course:

  • Multifamily central systems based on BPI Multifamily Building Analyst
  • Supplemental HERS II content specific to multifamily content
