NAR Green Designation

GreenPoint Rated, Version 7.0

GreenPoint Rated 7.0 Offers Code Updates, Pathways to Low Carbon

Builders

GreenPoint Rated Version 7.0 has been updated in tandem with updates to California Codes and Regulations and Building Energy Efficiency Standards (Title 24, Part 6).

As the state moves toward lower energy use and lower carbon homes, GreenPoint Rated is evolving and has developed three energy compliance pathways in Version 7.0. Other updates are fairly minor, and including the following:

  • Deleting measures that have become code-required
  • Addressing CALGreen mandatory measures
  • Adding new measures for current best practices
  • Improving and clarifying definitions of current measures
  • Clarifying criteria for qualification of current measures

Completion of the update process would not have been possible without the help of various advisory groups, green building experts, and raters, who provided their invaluable input.
