Roadmap for Local Government

This site has been developed to assist California local governments with promoting green building in their communities.  It draws on the experience of green building programs across the nation, distills the knowledge and experience of Build It Green, and focuses on the strategies that work for the public sector.

The Roadmap is intended to assist communities who just heard about green building for the first time to one’s that are the leaders in the field who raise new issues that they have recently encountered.

The Roadmap document can be downloaded as a whole or in sections for your convenience.
