Home Builders Assn. of Northern California Endorses GreenPoint Rated

On Monday, January 14, 2008 the SF Bay Area achieved a major milestone in the mainstreaming of green building with the Home Builders Association of Northern California’s (HBANC) endorsement of Build It Green’s GreenPoint Rated program. Furthermore, the Association endorsed the adoption of mandatory green building standards in all 101 Bay Area cities and counties based on GreenPoint Rated, making it the first major building association in the state and possibly the nation to embrace strong mandatory standards.

This is an exciting opportunity for the green building movement and it is only possible because of the support of green building advocates like you. We are currently working with HBANC to spread the word about GreenPoint Rated across the region from San Jose to Napa and San Ramon to San Francisco.
