Certified Professionals Directory

Two avenues can be used to contact a Certified GreenPoint Rated Advisor or Rater for your project:

1. Browse the GreenPoint Rated: Advisor & Rater Directory for a complete listing of Certified Raters and Advisors, and filter by region to find a Raters/Advisors in your area.
2. For Raters, the other option is to contact Build It Green with a Request for Rater and Build It Green staff will post your request on the Rater webpage allowing interested Raters to contact you directly. This is a great way to narrow the list of Raters down to those currently accepting projects.

The GreenPoint Rated Advisor & Rater Directory can be filtered by Rater/Advisor location, if the Rater/Advisor is certified for GreenPoint Rated Existing Home,  and by status- Rater or Advisor. A more detailed description of the two designations can be found below:

GreenPoint Rater

This status is designated for individuals wishing to perform all the duties and responsibilities of a third party verifier, including application, plan and field verification, and coordination with Build It Green for the GreenPoint Rated certificate.

GreenPoint Advisor

This status is designated for those people who use GreenPoint Rated in their profession (such as a builder, city building official, designer or green consultant) but do not plan on rating projects. The Advisor status allows these individuals to use all documents and procedures provided  by Build It Green and to perform services which require the knowledge of verification means and methods. Advisor status does not allow the individual to conduct verification and obtain a GreenPoint Rated certificate for the client.
