Jon Larson, CGBP, GP Rater Advisor and LEED AP is an architect with Jarvis Architects in Oakland and teaches drawing and art the San Francisco Institute of Architecture. Jon will share his personal experience with health issues related to indoor environmental quality.

Alex started on the path of environmental work in college, where he attained a degree in Environmental Science & Environmental Policy. After college he worked as a Sustainability Manager at
Antioch College for two years, before moving to NH to earn an MS in Resource Management & Administration at
Antioch New England. After graduate school he worked with green building consulting pioneers,
Center for Maximum Potential Building Systems in Austin, and then a Portland-based company specializing in third-party building rating systems, especially LEED. Since then Alex has piled on environmental testing inspection certificates to broaden his knowledge of the industry and bridge the gap between environmental science and building science.
Alisa Rose Seidlitz, CGBP, GLC, GreenAP, is a Western Feng Shui Consultant and Re-Designer, and Eco Garden Designer.
Her work focuses on creating Beauty, Health & Harmony in both inside and outside environments, and on sustaining the energy and overall well being of the people using each space.
Having become chemically sensitive decades ago, Alisa Rose raised her children in an organic, non-toxic home. She enjoys collaborating with other designers, architects, and builders, and can regularly be found communing with the birds, butterflies and plants in her own and her clients' gardens.
Tom is responsible for defining HBN's guiding philosophy and policies with regard to building materials. Tom has spent nearly 30 years working on the environmental impact of buildings, materials, and energy in both the private sector and with public interest groups.
A highly regarded expert in the field of green health care facilities design and operations, Tom helped coordinate development of the Green Guidelines for Health Care (GGHC), the US Green Building Council's LEED for Healthcare and the Sustainable Bioplastic Guidelines and has co-authored a wide range of studies of the comparative health and environmental impact of floorings, plastics and other building materials. Tom is currently overseeing the development of the
Pharos rating criteria.
