Biography

Joe Serrano - FHA 203K Consultant/Project Manager, TentMakers Inc.
Joe Serrano has over 25 years of residential, commercial and public works construction and development experience.  He is an approved HUD 203K Consultant, Certified HOME Program Specialist and Certified Green Building Professional. 
 
He is the founder and former President of Homes By Design, current President of ReCycled Housing and founder & CEO of TentMakers Inc. a non-profit Community Housing Development Corporation.  He is actively engaged in assisting potential homebuyers scope, estimate and complete housing rehabilitation projects throughout Northern California.

Bruce Mast – Director of Programs, Build It Green
Serving as a Director of Programs at Build It Green and its predecessor nonprofit Green Resource Center since 2003, Mr. Mast helped shepherd the organization through a period of exponential growth. In June of 2006, Mr. Mast transitioned from the Board to a staff role as Development Director.

Since 2002, Mr. Mast has managed a CPUC-funded education and outreach initiative to help local governments and building professionals promote construction and remodeling practices that maximize energy efficiency, water conservation, indoor air quality, resource conservation, and overall sustainability. In that capacity, Mr. Mast helped found the Green Affordable Housing Coalition, made up of local governments and affordable housing developers seeking to incorporate green building practices into affordable housing projects.
