Event Description

Certified Green Building Professional Training and Exam

Monday, Nov. 14 | 8 am – 5 pm

Tuesday, Nov. 15 | 8 am – 5 pm, 1-hour exam at 4 pm

This 2-day course introduces the main principles of green building and the systems approach to the design, construction and operation of buildings. It provides an understanding of energy efficiency, resource conservation, water conservation, and indoor air quality, and how to effectively convey the importance of these principles and market your business to homeowners. Fees and Registration

Course Fee: $400 Members | $450 non-Members

GreenPoint Rated Training Series

This course meets the Green Building Education requirement of these upcoming GreenPoint Rated courses: GreenPoint Rated Core on December 5, 6, and 10 in Oakland, California Multifamily Existing Building training on January 23 - 28, 2012 in Oakland, and GreenPoint Rated New Home training planned for January 2012 in San Francisco (exact date TBD). A limited number of scholarships are available for the CA Multifamily Existing Building training series - apply here.

Requirements for the CGBP Certification:

Attendance - Participants must attend both training days.
Pass the Exam - Participants must receive a passing grade of 80% on the final exam (open-book at the end of day 2). If you do not receive a passing grade, you may re-take the exam for a fee of $50.

Refreshments:
Coffee and other beverages are available throughout the day. Cookies are served in the afternoon. Attendees are responsible for their own breakfast and lunch.
