Green Real Estate Webinar: Understanding Energy Audits

As a realtor, you probably know what an energy audit is in the general sense. But if your client asked you to explain in more detail how it can help them, could you provide an answer?

Join us for a webinar overview of energy audits/assessments, tailored for real estate professionals and their needs. We’ll describe what takes place during a typical audit/assessment, and provide information about typical green home features.

Our goal is to equip you with the knowledge to educate your clients about the benefits of an energy assessment—that it can help them discover problems and inefficiencies, and provide recommendations for how to improve a home’s comfort, efficiency, and value.

Registration Price: FREE!

Access information for the webinar will be provided separately from 'GoToWebinar' by 9am on the morning of the webinar.
This email will come from:

Speaker Information:

Brad Grant

Brad has been professionally involved in the residential energy efficiency and renewable energy field since 2007. He is a BPI certified Building Analyst, Residential New Construction HERS I Rater, Existing Single Family Home Green Point Rater and CREIA (California Real Estate Inspection Association) Candidate Member.

Brad’s initial interest in energy efficiency began while helping his family insulate his childhood home in Colorado. In addition to adding insulation to the attic and walls, his parents also changed out a coal burning furnace for electric baseboard heat supplemented by a wood burning stove and installed dual-pane storm windows. This was done when being efficient and spending less on utilities was common sense.

Brad has performed residential energy audits/assessments and Green Point Ratings on over 150 homes in the Inland Empire of Los Angeles while working with Home Performance Matters.
