Topic: Zero Net Energy
Join Build It Green for Part 2 of our Zero Net Energy workshop series! In this session we will explain how to design the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for ZNE structures and discuss impacts during construction. We will explore the performance of various ZNE approaches to heating, cooling, ventilation, and lighting. Basic principles covered will include:
- Whole house ventilation
- High efficient mechanical systems
- LED lighting and lighting controls
- High efficient hot water systems
- Renewable energy systems
- Measures and verification controls
- Graywater and energy reuse
