   About Owens Corning

Owens Corning is proud to host this South Bay Build It Green Workshop at our fiber glass insulation plant in Santa Clara, CA. The plant was built in 1949 as the company’s first dedicated light density insulation line. The plant employs about 260 people at full capacity and produces enough fiberglass to insulate over 100,000 new homes annually. While on site, we will conduct a tour of the facility and in the interest of safety we require closed toes shoes (no high heels) and long pants. We will provide additional PPE (personal protection equipment) as appropriate.
