Topic: 2013 Draft CALGreen Code Update

Description: Are you prepared to implement the impending new building requirements? The new energy code is slated to be approximately 25% more rigorous across climate zones to meet California's goal for all new homes to be Net Zero by 2020. Updates to CALGreen will likely include provisions for residential additions and major remodels, and GreenPoint Rated is aligning its program with these code changes.

As Director of Technical Services and Education, Mr. Krantz supports the development, expansion and management of Build It Green’s GreenPoint Rated program and professional training department.

Mr. Krantz is a licensed architect, certified commissioning authority, certified energy plans examiner, and green building consultant with more than 10 years of experience in commercial, institutional, and residential buildings. Prior to joining Build It Green, Mr. Krantz served as a green building consultant where he assisted builders, architects, and property managers with LEED® and GreenPoint Rated certification, CALGreen code, and green building education.
