Topic: Cost of GreenPoint Rated

Description:

GreenPoint Rated has become the accepted rating system for residential construction in California and has become a mandated part of the planning process for projects in many of the cities of the Bay Area. One of the biggest challenges for building professionals today is how to achieve a high score for their projects without breaking their client's budget in doing so.

We'll explore the five categories of the GreenPoint Rated checklist and show you how to conduct a cost benefit analysis that addresses the home's performance, health and durability, while remaining meaningful to the homeowner. We'll dispel the myth that a highly GreenPoint Rated home has to be much more expensive than traditional "to code" construction and show how intelligent decisions regarding material choices and construction methods can have a big impact on GPR scores.

We will explore this topic from both the design side as well as from the construction side.
