Topic: Best Green Products for the Building Envelope
Description: How can you get your building envelope and interior systems to perform better, last longer, and keep you ahead of the curve on saving energy and resources?
In this panel discussion, we'll talk about the green building industry's best current product solutions and address some of the challenges of using them. Panelists include John Hammerschmidt of Hammerschmidt Construction, Phil Carey of Starburst Construction, and Drew Maran of Maran Construction.

John Hammerschmidt is the owner of Hammerschmidt Construction Inc., an award winning design + build residential remodeling company founded in 1996. John has a degree in horticulture from Cal Poly, started out in landscaping but changed his focus to encompass the entire home. He holds an A (General Contractor)and B (Engineering) California State Contractors' licenses, Certified Kitchen and Bath Designer ( CKBD), and Certified Green Builder ( CGB). John enjoys working to design and build homes that are functional, beautiful, energy efficient and environmentally friendly. StarburstConstruction, located in San Jose, has been recreating spaces for homeowners since 1974. Owned by Phil Carey, he has certifications from NARI as a National Certified Remodeler and Green Certified Professional, and Build it Green as a CGBP and is a participating contractor in Energy Upgrade CA.
