Topic: 2011 Guild Planning Parties - You are Invited!
Description: Please join us for a festive evening to determine the presentation topics for the 2011 Guild Calendar Year. We encourage everyone to be involved in helping to shape the topics for all of the San Francisco Guild Meetings.
What: We will duplicate the brainstorming and voting exercises from previous years, which have resulted in high-quality and relevant presentations. Please help us keep the San Francisco Guild on the forefront of green building education by attending and sharing what you want to learn about!
What If I Can't Attend?
If you cannot attend the Planning Party, but want to propose a topic OR if you want to present at one of our Guilds, you must submit your topic before the Planning Party. All final decisions will be made at each party and so we strongly encourage you to attend so that you can best represent your topic idea.
Submit a Topic Proposal Form by noon on Wednesday, October 20th for the San Francisco Guild. If you want your topic to be considered for ALL of the Guilds, please be sure to note that on the form.
If you cannot attend the Party but would like to be part of a Presentation Team, we will post the list of brainstormed topics for each Guild as well as the contact information for the Presentation Team Lead on our website. It will be your responsibility to contact them directly.
Who Should Attend
We invite all green building professional community members (green building professionals, suppliers, real estate professionals, public agency representatives etc.) to play a larger role in the planning and organization of the Guild presentations, so please forward this invitation to your colleagues as well.
What To Do
Start thinking about the topics you would like to learn more about and/or offer next year. And please plan on attending the October Planning Party for the Guild that you primarily attend so that we can better offer the topics you want to learn about in 2011.
In addition to providing your input, you can also help coordinate the Guild presentations, if you want to be more involved. Folks can volunteer to form ‘Presentation Teams’, which are responsible for organizing the actual Guild presentation (contacting speakers, determining content and direction, providing handouts etc.). Presentation Team members will receive free admission to the Guild meeting as well as promotion on Build It Green’s website and on our Guild announcements.
