Recent surveys show that more homeowners want a green home. Green homes are healthier and save money on utilities and maintenance. Homes with green upgrades have also been shown to have higher property values.

A study published last month provided the first statistical evidence that a green label increases a home's value compared to a similar home without the label by 9%.

CALGreen: Understanding and Implementing California's New Green Building Code

This day-long training will provide a background on CALGreen's development and introduce the mandatory requirements for residential and non-residential buildings.

Find out about new CALGreen amendments, including requirements for existing non‐residential buildings which will be enforced by local building departments beginning July 1, 2012, and get a preview of what adoption of CALGreen and the California Energy Code will look like in 2013.
