Energy Upgrade California Launches Home Upgrade Program

The Pacific Gas & Electric Company (PG&E) Energy Upgrade California Home Upgrade Program launched this Monday June 3, 2013. The new Home Upgrade Program has been designed to replace the current Basic Upgrade Package and offer an easier and more attractive upgrade solution to customers.

The Home Upgrade Program is a flexible, points-based selection of home energy efficiency improvements. It is intended to promote improvement based on at least one base measure, following the preferred building science loading order, while allowing for customers to select additional measures based on their needs.

The Home Upgrade Program allows the contractor to work with the customer to tailor an upgrade without energy modeling to help them select an energy saving upgrade.
