Councils and Guilds

When you participate in Build It Green's Councils and Guilds, you join other residential green building professionals who are working to make green building standard practice in California.

We bring the community together so you can build your network, engage in advocacy, and learn best practices about residential green building innovation, policy development, and program implementation.

Explore these opportunities for participation:

• The Green Building Professionals Guild is an opportunity to learn about innovative residential green building practices, products, and tools, and network at monthly events around the Bay Area.
  
  
• The Public Agency Council brings together California public agencies and utilities to share best practices about program design and policy.
  
  
• The Green Affordable Housing Coalition brings together public-sector and private-sector professionals who are committed to incorporating green building practices into the design, construction, operation, and maintenance of affordable housing
  
  

Build It Green actively supports and facilitates each council to help ensure their success. Groups meet monthly or quarterly to share information, support each other's programs and initiatives, and collaborate to accomplish the objectives set out by each council. Each council has specific requirements for participation.
